While a lot of my work has an element of fun to it, it’s nice to sometimes just illustrate something purely for the humour. I’ve been a big fan of comics and the art of cartoons. It is very hard to convey a whole joke with just one picture and still not easy with a series of pictures. The art you see in newspaper comics as well as cartoons inside magazines like Private Eye, Punch, and Oldie, are sometimes topical, but follow a great British tradition of comedy that has lasted generations. Below are a few examples of when I’ve created cartoons and comic strips.
